Primers:
Nestin (ectoderm, 111bp) – Intermediate filament gene specifically expressed in neuroepithelial stem cells (Lendahl et al. 1990, Cell).
PAX6 (ectoderm, 147bp) – Paired box gene 6, uniformly expressed in early human neuroectoderm cells (Zhang et al. 2010, Cell Stem Cell).
T (mesoderm, 118bp) – T-box gene, transcription factor required in a range of early mesoderm cell fate and development (ref).
MesP1 (mesoderm, 100bp) – Transcription factor initiating mesoderm formation (Saga et al. 1996, Development) and specifying cardiac, hematopoietic and skeletal myogenic cell fate (Chan et al. 2014, Cell Stem Cell).
GATA-4 (mesoderm, 112bp) – codes for GATA binding protein 4, expressed in early precardiac mesoderm (Patient and McGhee, 2002).
AFP (endoderm, 100bp) – ?-fetoprotein, a serum glycoprotein secreted by the visceral endoderm.
HNF4a (endoderm, 128bp) – Hepatocyte nuclear factor 4 alpha, transcription factor involved in endoderm differentiation and liver development (Hanawa et al. 2017). 
GAPDH – (house-keeping/ constitutive gene, 153bp).
