Generation of an induced pluripotent stem cell line (PNUYHi002-A) from a patient with Alzheimer's disease carrying PRNP M232R variant
Summary
We generated a human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) line from the peripheral blood mononuclear cells isolated from a 59-year-old male patient with Alzheimer's disease (AD). The iPSC line was meticulously characterized to confirm its pluripotency, absence of transgenes, and normal karyotype. The unexpected discovery of the M232R variant in PRNP makes this cell line a valuable resource for investigating AD pathogenesis. Copyright © 2024 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.
