Project Description
To study the interaction of adherent mammalian cells with nanostructured substrates, we will transiently express fluorescent fusion proteins in a number of mouse cell lines. The proteins of interest are structural proteins such as actin, myosin, talin, paxillin, vinculin, etc. Plasmids will be transfected into the cells using lipid based transfection reagents, and new genetic material will not be permanently incorporated into the host organism.
