Generation of patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cell line UJSi004-A from ultra-treatment-resistant schizophrenia
Summary
Schizophrenia is a severe mental illness with disabling effects. Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) are generated by reprogramming peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from patients with ultra-treatment-resistant schizophrenia (UTRS). iPSCs have normal karyotype, express pluripotency markers and differentiate into three germ layers in vivo. This iPSC cell line carries the genetic information of the patient and is a good model for studying disease mechanisms and developing new therapies. Copyright © 2024. Published by Elsevier B.V.
