Project Description
Dysregulation of translation can be observed in many cancers. With accumulating evidence for ribosome heterogeneity, a role of the core ribosome itself in translational regulation has been hypothesized. This project aims to investigate ribosome heterogeneity and dysregulation of translation in glioblastoma using patient-derived glioblastoma cell lines. Neural progenitor cells will be cultured and used as a non-pathogenic baseline to normalize the data collected from different glioblastoma cell lines.
