In the study of Cederquist et al, 2019 Nat Biotech, the authors used this inducible Sonic Hedgehog (SHH) hESC line in developing forebrain organoids that enables ordered self-organization along dorso-ventral and anteroposterior positional axes. The SHH-patterned forebrain organoids establish major forebrain subdivisions that are positioned with in vivo-like topography. In the figure 1, the data present the establishment of the iSHH line, and the dorso-ventral and antero-posterior developmental axes in SHH differentiated forebrain organoids.
